Chocolate Finance launches with iAM Smart onboarding.
GovVerify connects the platform’s Hong Kong customer journey to government-confirmed identity data.

Singapore-founded Chocolate Finance used Fill Easy’s GovVerify integration to support its Hong Kong launch. The identity step connects customers to iAM Smart, Hong Kong’s government digital identity platform.
A familiar authentication route
Customers authenticate with iAM Smart and actively consent to the sharing of their identity attributes. Verified name, Hong Kong identity details and date of birth are then returned to Chocolate Finance’s systems through the API.
For this identity route, the customer does not need to photograph a document or take a selfie. The flow obtains the identity attributes from the government system rather than extracting them from a newly uploaded image.
Making the launch operational
The deployment handled thousands of customers in the weeks following the Hong Kong launch, with the identity-verification step processed automatically through the integration.
By receiving the confirmed attributes through the API, Chocolate Finance can use them in the customer’s application without asking staff to retype details from a submitted identity document.
