A Certificate of Merit in the FinTech RegTech: Regulatory and Risk Management stream at the 2025 awards.

GovVerify has received a Certificate of Merit at the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2025, in the FinTech category’s RegTech: Regulatory and Risk Management stream.
The awards are organised by the HKSAR Government’s Digital Policy Office, with entries assessed by independent judging panels drawn from industry, academia and government advisory roles.
The problem GovVerify addresses
Regulated onboarding teams need to know whether an identity can be confirmed by its issuing authority. A manual document upload introduces a separate review process and does not, by itself, create a direct connection to that authority.
GovVerify provides the managed API connection to government identity systems including iAM Smart, China eID, Singpass and UAE Pass. It brings the verified attributes back into an institution’s own customer workflow.
Recognition for the working product
The RegTech stream focuses on technology supporting compliance, risk management and regulatory reporting in financial services. The Certificate of Merit recognises GovVerify within that field.
For the team, the next step remains practical: extending the integration work and making source-backed identity easier for regulated businesses to operate.
