What is GovVerify?
GovVerify verifies a person through their government digital identity: iAM Smart in Hong Kong, China eID in Mainland China, Singpass in Singapore and UAE Pass in the United Arab Emirates. The individual approves the request in the government app, and the issuing government confirms who they are.
Does the individual have to consent?
Yes. Every GovVerify check runs with the individual's consent, given through the government scheme.
How fast is identity verification with GovVerify?
Seconds once the customer approves the request in the government app.
Which details come back?
It depends on the scheme. iAM Smart returns the HKID number, name, date of birth and residential address. Singpass returns the NRIC or FIN, name, nationality, address and employment through Myinfo. UAE Pass returns the Emirates ID, name in English and Arabic, nationality and date of birth. China eID returns the resident ID with a face check.
How is this different from an ID scan and a selfie?
A scan shows what a card looks like, and it can be edited or deepfaked. GovVerify asks the issuing government who the person is, so there is no image to forge, and every check comes back with a signed audit record of its source, time and consent.
Can we add AML, court or credit checks to the same request?
Yes, where the scheme and jurisdiction support them: AML and sanctions screening for all four schemes, court and litigation records in Hong Kong and Mainland China, credit history in Mainland China and Singapore, and bank account, phone and face checks in Mainland China.
Do we need a separate integration for each scheme?
No. GovVerify gives one API, one consent flow, one schema and one signed audit record across all four schemes.
