Yes. Every GovVerify check runs with the individual's consent, given through the government scheme.
What details does an iAM Smart check return?
The name, HKID number, date of birth and residential address held by iAM Smart, once the resident authorises them in the app. They arrive as fields, marked as confirmed by the government.
How does the resident start an iAM Smart verification?
On your site or app they tap Continue with iAM Smart, or scan a QR code on a desktop. The iAM Smart app shows who is asking and exactly what will be shared, and they authorise it there.
