Fill Easy at Hong Kong FinTech Week 2026
At the HKSTP Pavilion, Fill Easy and AIR by Animoca Brands signed an MoU. The week put cross-border verification and user-controlled credentials in focus.

Hong Kong FinTech Week × StartmeupHK Festival 2026 covers 2 to 6 November, with its main conference held on 2 and 3 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The programme brought Finance+, AI+ and global connectivity together. For Fill Easy, that last theme raises a practical question: how can verified information about a person or company remain useful when a business crosses a border?
At the HKSTP Pavilion, Fill Easy and AIR by Animoca Brands signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). HKSTP announced the signing alongside its showcase of 20 park companies. The MoU sets out work towards connecting Asia-Pacific government and registry evidence with AIR's credential infrastructure and Fill Easy's planned European trust services. Our partnership article explains the scope and the qualifications still required.
The verification problem behind a global event
An onboarding team may receive a scan of an identity document or company certificate, then need to establish whether it is current and came from the issuing authority. When the customer moves to another market, the same evidence is often collected again. That creates work for the customer and leaves the receiving business to check the source and the permitted use of the data.
GovVerify connects businesses to supported government identity services. CorpVerify obtains company records from official registries. Those source checks address the first part of the problem; the MoU explores how verified attributes could be carried and disclosed with the user's consent in another application or market.
What the signing means today
The collaboration is a plan for technical integration, assessment and regulatory qualification. Fill Easy (Malta) Limited is pursuing, not yet holding, the EU qualifications described in the joint announcement (opens in a new tab). No qualified electronic attestation or ledger service was launched by signing the MoU. Any institution relying on a future credential would still be responsible for its own onboarding, verification and privacy duties.
The next work is concrete: define eligible source data, integrate the credential flow, and complete the conformity and supervisory processes before any qualified service is offered. That is the cross-border trust question we took from FinTech Week into the work ahead.
