Company searches in five minutes, not two days.

Business banking, relationship managers and the private bank at China CITIC Bank International all need company searches to open and review accounts: who owns a Hong Kong company, who runs a Mainland one, and whether the registry agrees with what the client has told the bank.

The searches went to a manual vendor that returned a fixed format, with no way to speed one up while a client waited. A vendor review found the incumbents unwilling to change, and a data API meant about a year of IT work before the first result.
