Business registration: Mainland China

A business registration search returns the registration record behind a Mainland company's business licence (营业执照), as held by the State Administration for Market Regulation and its local bureaus. The licence itself carries the company name, the Unified Social Credit Code, the type, the registered address, the legal representative, the registered capital, the date of establishment, the business term and the business scope. The search confirms each of these against the registry and adds the registration authority, the operating status and the date of the last approved change, so a licence a customer supplied can be checked against the record.

Hong Kong firms order it when a Mainland company's licence arrives in a KYC pack and needs confirming, when a payment or trade finance file needs the registered name matched to a bank account, and when a procurement system needs the official name and code for a new supplier. It is the lighter search; the full company search adds shareholders, management, changes and risk records.

Send the Unified Social Credit Code or the full Chinese name, or attach the licence. The result comes back as a PDF with English fields and the Chinese original, in the same thread or through the API.
