Cyprus member certificates and beneficial ownership searches answer different questions.
Cyprus member certificates and beneficial ownership searches answer different questions.
A Cyprus company's directors and secretary are free to see on the Registrar of Companies' e-search, and its members, share capital and full history are one €10 detailed search away. The register of beneficial owners is a separate register and is closed to the public: since the CJEU judgment of November 2022, only competent and supervisory authorities and obliged entities can search it, the latter on approval of each request.
Fill Easy can order Registrar of Companies certificates and filed documents by email or through the API as part of its company registry search across 60+ jurisdictions. Price and turnaround are confirmed with the order.
Registry
Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Republic of Cyprus
The Registrar of Companies keeps a file for every company, partnership, business name and overseas company registered in Cyprus. In 2015 the physical files of all entities then active were scanned, creating an electronic register that can be searched online by name or registration number.
The basic e-search is free and shows the organisation's name, registration date, type, status, registered office, the names of its current directors and secretary, documents filed and pending, and the last annual return date. A detailed search for €10 opens the entity's full electronic file from registration to date: name, registered office, directors and secretaries, members and share capital (each with history), charges and mortgages registered since 2000, and an overview of all filed documents. Certificates and certified copies are issued for a fee, online through e-filing or by hand or post.

Registration number
HE followed by digits for a company, for example HE 123456 (registers also show it without the space). Overseas companies registered in Cyprus carry a different prefix. The number is stated on the certificate of incorporation.

Yes. The members and their share capital, with history, are shown in the Registrar of Companies' detailed e-search (€10) and on the Certificate of Shareholders/members (€20). Those are registered shareholders; the beneficial owners register is separate and closed to the public.
The basic e-search is free and shows the company's name, registration date, type, status, registered office, current directors and secretary and filed documents. The detailed search with members, share capital and full history costs €10.
Apply to the Registrar of Companies through its e-filing system or by hand or post, at €20 per certificate, plus €20 for the accelerated procedure. Fill Easy can order it with the other certificates, with price and turnaround confirmed with the order.
Not as a member of the public. Public access was suspended after the CJEU judgment of 22 November 2022. Competent and supervisory authorities and obliged entities can search it, obliged entities on approval of each request at €3.50 per legal entity.
HE is the prefix the Registrar of Companies gives to companies, followed by the registration number, for example HE 123456. Overseas companies registered in Cyprus use a different prefix.
