Company search in Denmark

Denmark’s Central Business Register, or CVR, identifies registered businesses and organisations with eight-digit CVR numbers. The Danish Business Authority provides business information through its services. A CVR match should be kept separate from the records of individual operating units, tax status and restricted ownership information.

Request the specific records through our international company registry search. Feasibility and access are confirmed for the requested items; price and expected turnaround are confirmed when the order is accepted.

CVR business information is available through the official Virk service. Search by the CVR number and confirm the legal form before interpreting management, ownership or reporting fields. Production units can have their own P-numbers and should remain connected to the underlying business.

Filed financial reports and ownership information have their own coverage and access conditions. The detail available depends on the legal form, filing obligations and the selected source. A basic CVR match does not settle signing authority, financial health or authorisation for a regulated activity.

Identifier

CVR number

The CVR number has eight digits and identifies the registered business or organisation. A P-number identifies a production unit and is a different reference. Tax and VAT status require their relevant source checks.

Worth knowing

  • Read the recorded representation rule rather than assuming every listed manager can sign alone.
  • Financial filing duties and available ownership information vary by legal form and applicable access rules.

Questions

Which identifier should I use for a Denmark company search?

The CVR number has eight digits and identifies the registered business or organisation. A P-number identifies a production unit and is a different reference. Tax and VAT status require their relevant source checks.

Does the registry record identify every beneficial owner?

Registered particulars and ownership disclosures have limits. Trace corporate holders and obtain supporting ownership and control evidence where the accessible record leaves gaps.

Can I request an official or certified document?

Specify the exact document and the receiving institution’s requirements. Access, format, feasibility, price and expected turnaround are confirmed for the request.
