A Dutch KVK extract identifies authority before it resolves ownership.
A Dutch KVK extract identifies authority before it resolves ownership.
The Dutch Business Register names the people who run a company. A KVK Business Register Extract lists the directors and anyone authorised to sign, with their dates of birth and powers; a shareholder appears only when one person or entity holds all the shares. The UBO register is closed to the public: since the CJEU judgment of November 2022 only the company, the beneficial owners themselves and authorised institutions can see it.
Fill Easy can order KVK extracts, financial statements and filed documents by email or through the API as part of its company registry search across 60+ jurisdictions. Price and turnaround are confirmed with the order.
Registry
Kamer van Koophandel, Handelsregister
Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK), supervised by the Ministry of Economic Affairs
KVK keeps the Business Register (Handelsregister) under the Business Register Act (Handelsregisterwet). Every business and legal entity in the Netherlands must register, and each receives a single 8-digit KVK number. The UBO register is part of the Business Register and is also kept by KVK.
Anyone can search by name, address or KVK number for free. Documents with more detail are paid: the KVK Business Register Extract (€2.95 to view online, €9.60 digitally certified, €19.20 on paper), financial statements and filed documents (€3.90 per online download), Corporate History and the Group Structure Overview, at the 2026 tariffs. Officials' home addresses, citizen service numbers (BSN), telephone numbers and places of birth are not public.

KVK number
8 digits, one per business or organisation, kept for life even if it has several trade names or activities. Legal entities and partnerships also carry an RSIN (Rechtspersonen en Samenwerkingsverbanden Informatienummer), used with other government bodies and printed on the extract; sole proprietorships have none. Each establishment (vestiging) has its own establishment number.

No. The KVK Business Register names a shareholder only when one person or entity holds all the shares (enig aandeelhouder). Other shareholders are recorded in the company's own shareholders' register, which is not filed with KVK.
The KVK Business Register Extract is the official document showing a company's key details as registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce: name, address, legal form, activities, capital and the directors and authorised signatories. KVK sells it for €2.95 to view online, €9.60 digitally certified and €19.20 on paper (2026 tariffs).
Not as a member of the public. Since the CJEU judgment of 22 November 2022, access is limited to the organisation itself, the UBOs for their own data, Wwft institutions and sanctioning bodies, banks and notaries, and competent authorities, at different levels of detail. Others usually rely on the client's own UBO extract.
8 digits. Every business or organisation in the Business Register has one KVK number, whatever its number of trade names or activities. Legal entities and partnerships also have an RSIN, and each establishment its own establishment number.
Order them from KVK by name or KVK number; legal entities that must file accounts are available for up to 7 years back, as PDF or XBRL. Fill Easy can order them with the extract, with price and turnaround confirmed with the order.
