A Polish KRS number and a tax NIP identify different records.
Poland’s National Court Register, or KRS, records companies and other covered legal entities. Individual entrepreneurs use CEIDG instead. The KRS number, tax NIP and statistical REGON reference have different roles, so the first step is to identify the counterparty’s legal form.
Request the specific records through our international company registry search. Feasibility and access are confirmed for the requested items; price and expected turnaround are confirmed when the order is accepted.
Registry
Ministry of Justice and competent registry courts for KRS; government CEIDG service for individual entrepreneurs
The Ministry of Justice provides the KRS search service. Current and full register information help distinguish the presently registered position from historical changes. The exact entity, legal form and register section should be matched before interpreting management or ownership fields.
CEIDG is the separate register for individual entrepreneurs. Financial documents and beneficial ownership information use their relevant official systems and access rules; an ordinary company extract does not answer every financial or ownership question.

KRS number, with NIP and REGON as separate references
The KRS number has ten digits. Preserve leading zeroes. The ten-digit NIP is a tax identifier; REGON is a statistical identifier. An individual entrepreneur’s CEIDG record should not be treated as a KRS company entry.
| Document | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Current KRS information | Registered particulars, legal form, office, management and representation information within the record’s scope. |
| Full KRS information | Current and historical entries covered by the register record, useful for names, offices and management chronology. |
| Filed financial documents, where available | Financial statements and accompanying documents filed through the relevant official repository for entities with applicable obligations. |
| CEIDG entrepreneur information | The individual entrepreneur’s registered business particulars; this is a different legal-form workflow from a company search. |

Registered particulars and ownership disclosures have limits. Trace corporate holders and obtain supporting ownership and control evidence where the accessible record leaves gaps.
