Bermuda company evidence comes from the Registrar and the registered office.
Bermuda company evidence comes from the Registrar and the registered office.
Bermuda opens more of a company's ownership than most offshore centres, though not at the registry. Under section 66 of the **Companies Act 1981** the register of members, exempted companies included, is open to any member of the public at the registered office, without charge, for at least two hours a day. The **Registrar of Companies** holds the register of directors for public inspection. Beneficial ownership, held by the Registrar since **3 November 2025**, is disclosed only to listed authorities and to regulated firms carrying out due diligence.
Fill Easy can order Registrar of Companies documents by email or through the API as part of its company registry search across 60+ jurisdictions, including the search of the register, the register of directors and certificates of compliance. Price and turnaround are confirmed with the order, and every result records the source, the retrieval time and the request ID.
Registry
Government of Bermuda, Ministry of Finance
The Registrar of Companies maintains Bermuda's register of legal persons: local and exempted companies under the Companies Act 1981, limited liability companies, exempted partnerships and overseas companies trading under a permit. Since 3 November 2025 it has also kept the central register of beneficial ownership under the Beneficial Ownership Act 2025, taken over from the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
Searches, filings and certificate requests are made through the Registrar's online portal, which requires a user account with uploaded government identification and a search fee. A search generally returns the registered office, the memorandum of association (or certificate of formation or registration), the date of incorporation, charges and previous names. The register of directors filed under section 92B, the register of charges and the registers of permit companies and overseas partnerships are also open to inspection.
