A Jersey company search separates public members from restricted beneficial owners.
A Jersey company search separates public members from restricted beneficial owners.
Jersey publishes more about its companies than most offshore centres. The Registry of the **Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC)** shows each company's registered office, directors, members and share information on its public register, and copies of filed public documents bought through the online search are free. Beneficial owners and controllers are recorded with the Registry too, but that register is open only to the authorities and, since **24 February 2025**, to obliged entities carrying out customer due diligence.
Fill Easy can order Jersey Registry documents by email or through the API as part of its company registry search across 60+ jurisdictions, including the entity details, certificates of good standing and filed public documents. Price and turnaround are confirmed with the order, and every result records the source, the retrieval time and the request ID.
Registry
Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC)
The Registry is part of the JFSC, so the island's financial regulator and its companies registry sit in one organisation. It keeps the registers of Jersey companies, business names, foundations, partnerships, security interests and beneficial ownership under the Companies (Jersey) Law 1991 and the Financial Services (Disclosure and Provision of Information) (Jersey) Law 2020. Filings, incorporations and the annual confirmation statement go through the myRegistry portal.
The Registry search on the JFSC website takes a name, a registered number or a previous name and opens the entity's details with its available certificates and public documents. Online PDF copies are emailed on payment and manually certified copies are posted within two working days. The 2026 fee notice lists copies of documents through the online search as free, an online certificate of good standing at £51, and online certified copies at £92 for a certificate of good standing and £51 for other documents.

Registered number
A numeric registered number assigned by the Registry on incorporation, searchable on the Registry entity search alongside the company name. Obliged entities need the exact entity name or registered number to search the beneficial ownership register.
| Document | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Entity details | The company's name, registered number, type, status, registered office, previous names, and the significant persons (directors) and members with share information that the Registry publishes. The JFSC states that full reliance can be placed on the key entity details shown on its search. |
| Certificate of good standing | The Registry's certificate that the company is active, has completed its required filings, delivered accounts where relevant and has a valid registered office. £51 online, £92 as an online certified copy and £159 manually certified on the 2026 fee notice. |
| Certificate of incorporation | A copy of the certificate with the company's name, registered number and date of incorporation, and any certificate of change of name. |
| Memorandum and articles of association | The filed constitution of the company with its registered amendments, as a public document from the company's file. |
| Filed public documents | Special resolutions, changes of name, share capital changes and other documents the company has filed under the Companies (Jersey) Law 1991, with the date each was registered. Copies through the online search are free on the 2026 fee notice. |
| Accounts (public companies) | The accounts a public or deemed public company must deliver to the Registry under Article 108. Private companies do not file accounts. |
| Security Interests Register search | Registered financing statements against a grantor on the separate Security Interests Register, £5 per search on the 2026 fee notice. |
Yes. Members and share information are shown on the JFSC Registry's public register, taken from the company's annual confirmation statement. Any person can also inspect the register of members at the company's registered office under Article 45 of the Companies (Jersey) Law 1991, for a small fee set by the company.
Yes. Directors are significant persons and appear on the public register, with exceptions for those under 18. Company secretaries are not shown. The entity details on the Registry search list them alongside the registered office and members.
Beneficial owners and controllers are filed with the JFSC Registry but are not public. The authorities can see them, and since 24 February 2025 obliged entities can search the OEBO register through myJFSC for customer due diligence. A search for any other purpose is a criminal offence.
Order it through the JFSC Registry search. An online certificate costs £51 and an online certified copy £92 on the 2026 fee notice. It is available only for active entities that are up to date with their filings and have a valid registered office. Fill Easy can order it for you, with price and turnaround confirmed with the order.
Only public and deemed public companies deliver accounts to the Registry. Private companies keep accounting records but do not file them, so their financial statements are not on the public file.
