Syfe Hong Kong has introduced a customer onboarding journey using Fill Easy’s iAM Smart integration.
The deployment addresses a point of friction in the previous manual verification route: the initial bank transfer used to establish a customer’s identity before the investment account could be opened.
Changing the verification step
In the workflow described in this case, manual onboarding required an initial HKD 10,000 transfer together with document review. The iAM Smart route supports account opening with no initial deposit required for that identity-verification step.
The customer authenticates through iAM Smart, and the integration retrieves the government-confirmed identity attributes. Those attributes can also support form filling in the account-opening journey.
Keeping the source connected to the account
The case reports a reduction in account-opening time from days to minutes. It also changes the kind of evidence behind the application: the identity record comes through the official digital identity system.
For customers starting with a smaller investment, removing the initial verification transfer changes the entry point into the product. For the platform, the identity integration becomes part of the application flow rather than a separate manual review process.
