A Moroccan RC number needs its local registry context alongside the ICE.

OMPIC and DirectInfo support company-record searches. Local RC context, legal form and dated filings determine how the evidence should be interpreted.

Morocco’s local commercial register number and its ICE identifier serve different purposes. Record the RC number together with the local registry jurisdiction or city. Retain the ICE as an additional identifier rather than replacing the RC context.

The Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC) provides central commercial-register information. DirectInfo is a company-information route. The central service and local commercial records should remain identifiable within the review.

Match the name and local registration context

Ask for the exact registered name, complete RC number and local commercial registry shown on the company's registration evidence. Request the ICE where available and preserve the original documents containing it.

French and Arabic names, abbreviations and trading names can differ. Compare the registered name and legal form with the contract, invoice and bank-account evidence. An English brand should be linked to the registered entity rather than treated as its legal name by default.

A group can have companies registered in different cities under similar names. The city or registry context prevents a bare RC serial from being used as a universal identifier. Keep it with the number in every later filing request and ownership-chart reference.

Label each administrative reference

RC and ICE are distinct identifiers. Tax and other administrative references may also appear on invoices or corporate documents. Record their labels and issuing context so a reviewer can distinguish the company match from a tax or operating-registration check.

Compare identifiers across the retrieved record and company-supplied evidence. If an ICE or address differs, ask for the relevant correction or change documents. A discrepancy may be explainable, but it requires a documented connection before the match is accepted.

For an overseas business using a Moroccan establishment, establish whether the contract is with a branch, local subsidiary or foreign legal person. Request the evidence linking the local registration to the underlying entity instead of assuming a locally recorded office is a separate incorporated company.

Choose the information product deliberately

Use the official OMPIC or DirectInfo route to locate the company and identify available products. Confirm the search inputs and document scope for the entity. Public discovery and obtaining a particular issued extract or filed document are separate tasks.

Specify whether the review requires basic company information, a commercial-register extract, constitutional documents or particular historical filings. Do not promise that one search automatically delivers the entire company file, current financial statements and a complete ownership assessment.

  • Identity: match the name, legal form, RC jurisdiction and available ICE.
  • Registered particulars: record the address, officials and other fields actually supplied.
  • History: obtain relevant name, capital, office or governance changes for the period under review.
  • Document provenance: retain whether the evidence comes from a central information product, local registry or company.

If a decision depends on the underlying filing, obtain that document rather than relying only on a summary field. A central service can be useful for discovery while the specific evidential requirement calls for an extract or copy through the appropriate route.

A SARL, SA and other registered forms have different ownership and governance structures. Identify the legal form shown on the record before requesting member, shareholder or official information. A checklist for one form should not be assumed to fit every business result.

Original articles can identify founding participants and capital arrangements. They may not establish present holdings after later transfers or amendments. Request the relevant later record or dated company register where current ownership matters.

A named manager or administrator is not automatically a shareholder or beneficial owner. Record the person’s capacity as shown and seek separate holder evidence. Where ownership information is absent from the selected public product, describe that limitation instead of inferring an empty ownership structure.

Trace indirect ownership with source dates

Ask for the direct holders, quantities and relevant rights in a dated member or shareholder record. Corporate holders need their own exact names, jurisdictions and registration identifiers. Continue the ownership paths relevant to your assessment towards natural persons.

Aggregate interests where a person appears through several branches. Consider voting agreements, nominee arrangements or other control mechanisms separately from direct capital percentages. Apply the tests relevant to your institution and transaction.

Keep every source date in the ownership chart. A current company declaration combined with an older foreign-holder record can leave the final chain temporally inconsistent. Refresh the relevant link or document the uncertainty before reaching the conclusion.

Do not assume a public company search establishes every beneficial owner. Confirm the lawful access route for any restricted ownership item and keep company-provided declarations distinct from official responses. Name the evidence gaps that remain after the accessible records have been collected.

Reconcile changes and pending evidence

Compare the latest retrieved particulars with the company's explanation of recent changes. Request amendments, transfer evidence or appointment records where they affect the transaction. Record the effective change date separately from any filing, issue and retrieval dates.

If a local record and central product differ, retain both and seek clarification through the appropriate custodian. Do not silently select whichever version makes the application easiest to approve. The review note should explain the difference and the evidence used to resolve it.

An unavailable document can reflect product coverage or access arrangements. Check those possibilities before describing it as a company filing failure. A restricted document is an access limit, whereas an unsupported assertion by the company is a different evidence concern.

Establish authority and regulated permissions

For a proposed signer, review the applicable constitutional rules and the relevant resolution, mandate or delegation. The official's name in a company record does not settle every condition for signing the particular agreement.

Registered business activity is separate from a sector licence or operational permission. Where the relationship depends on regulated activity, identify the responsible authority and match the permission to the exact entity. A licence held by a related company should not be attributed to the contracting person without supporting evidence.

Financial statements and operating evidence answer separate questions. Request them where the decision depends on financial capacity or performance. A commercial-register extract does not establish solvency or confirm that the company operates at every advertised location.

Retain originals and recipient requirements

Keep French or Arabic originals alongside any translation. Identify whether an English version is a summary, ordinary translation or a formally certified translation. Preserve original-script names so another reviewer can repeat the identity match.

Confirm whether the receiving institution requires a certified extract, certified copy or further authentication. Document format and recency requirements depend on the intended use. Certification establishes the provenance of the supplied record within its scope; it does not independently verify every underlying company statement.

Place a defined Moroccan request

Send the registered name, complete RC number, local registry context and known ICE through our mailbox. Specify the extract, selected filings, history period, language and certification required, with any authority for company-held ownership evidence.

Availability and access are confirmed for the requested items. Price and expected turnaround are confirmed when the order is accepted. The international company registry search supports the defined evidence request with its actual sources and limits.
